Work carried out and contributions

The work carried out by the founder of AKINTERRA covers a broad spectrum of human rights issues, in demanding institutional contexts.

The themes below provide a representative overview.
  • Impact of economic crises and austerity measures on human rights
  • Effective implementation of social rights
  • Poverty, social exclusion, decent standard of living and access to essential services
  • Affordable housing, social housing and housing benefits
  • Evictions, remedies, assistance and reparation in cases of unlawful eviction
  • Housing conditions of vulnerable families
  • Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on social rights
Each issue is examined through a cross-analysis of the applicable normative frameworks, the practice of international monitoring bodies, comparative national legislation and practice, institutional positions and available data — with a view to producing rigorous, well-documented and directly usable analyses.
